Der Verein zeichnet sich vor allem dadurch aus, dass er aufgrund seiner Tätigkeit die Kulturbegriffe Urban Culture, Street Art und Hip Hop- Kultur unter einem gemeinsamen Dach vereint. Neben Einzelveranstaltungen (Workshops, Konzerte,...) stellt die gleichnahmige Convention (ehem. "Festival") das Highlight des Jahres dar. Hauptaugenmerk liegt auf der facettenreichen HipHop-Kultur mit den vier ineinander greifenden kulturellen Praktiken (Subkulturen) Rap, Graffiti, Breakdance und Dj-ing. Dabei werden Möglichkeiten zur persönlichen Teilnahme eröffnet.
Ziel ist es, sich nicht nur oberflächlich mit der am weitest verbreiteten Jugenbewegung dieser Zeit auseinanderzusetzen, sondern diese auch an interessierte Personen aller Altersgruppen näher zu bringen und verständlicher zu machen. Neben idealistischer Motivation steht natürlich auch die Integration, Information und der Ausbau einer interagierenden "Community" im Vordergrund, wodurch sowohl die lokale Jugendarbeit als auch die überregionale Kulturlandschaft bereichert wird.
Ziel ist es, sich nicht nur oberflächlich mit der am weitest verbreiteten Jugenbewegung dieser Zeit auseinanderzusetzen, sondern diese auch an interessierte Personen aller Altersgruppen näher zu bringen und verständlicher zu machen. The eponymous association promotes youth culture and creative processes (artwork) in its own inimitable way. Besides a number of single events (workshops, lectures, panels, shows, concerts,...) during the year, the "Four Elements Convention" (former "Festival” / premier July 2006) is the outstanding highlight among the multifaceted association’s activities.
It combines all HipHop culture – related Disciplines (Rap/MCing, DJing, Beatboxing, Breaking/Dance, Producing, Graffiti, Street- and Urban Arts, …) in the form of a convention and makes it accessible to the wider public. Through a number of different channels, young people from all kinds of social backgrounds are able to explore creative forms of expression. The participants of the festival are taking a trip through Hip Hop culture, from its past to its present towards its future. They have the chance to gather experiences, get in touch with artists or activists and actively participate in all the different parts of the event.
The event’s multi-facetted program also provides the chance and the platform for young local artists to cooperate and exchange their ideas with international performers.
